Laura Kushnick Wiegand established Thrown Room Ceramic Studio in 2021. Remembering her love of pottery from her youth, she returned to it as a hobby and tactile escape from the isolation of the pandemic. Since then, she has continued to pursue it more seriously every year, finding great joy in creating unique functional pieces for users to love. 

Laura works in mid-fire stoneware clay. Functional pieces are safe and satisfying to use for meals and beverages, in the microwave and in the dishwasher.
